Our Origins
Welcome to En Route! My name is John Ictech, the founder and creative mind behind this boutique publication. En Route was founded on the belief that the beauty of print magazine culture shouldn’t be limited to thick, expensive issues or hard to find subscriptions. Instead, we reimagine the reading experience on a smaller, more intentional scale each story arriving as a collectible postcard you can hold, save, or send forward.
Our Editorial Director
Sandra Ictech
Our Editorial Director serves as the head journalist of En Route, leading our storytelling with precision, cultural insight, and a sharp editorial eye. With prior experience across a range of reputable publishing houses, she brings both industry expertise and narrative depth to every issue.
Throughout her career, she has interviewed internationally recognized figures including Luis Fonsi, Miranda Cosgrove, Lukas Gage, and Luke Hemsworth, conducting conversations that move beyond surface level publicity to uncover the human story beneath the spotlight.
Her written work has been consistently praised by industry professionals for its clarity, originality, and thoughtful cultural perspective. At En Route, she ensures that every feature is not only beautifully composed, but meaningfully told — honouring our commitment to timeless storytelling and collectible journalism.
Head Journalist
Every En Route issue is designed to feel like a keepsake: concise, visual, and thoughtfully curated—but always rooted in pop culture. Each postcard captures a snapshot of the cultural moment, from trends and icons to the quieter shifts in how we live, dress, listen, and dream. Our name, En Route, is inspired by the idea that pop culture is never still; it’s always moving, always evolving, always en route to its next era.
Visually, En Route pulls from the stark black-and-white aesthetic of the Great Depression and post-Depression era, echoing old photographs, newspapers, and archival film. Because of this, every standard issue is printed entirely in black and white, giving each card a timeless, documentary feel. On rare occasions, we release limited-edition issues that incorporate color as a deliberate storytelling choice, making those pieces feel special, collectible, and slightly disruptive in the best way. Whether you’re pinning a card to your wall, slipping it into a book, or sending it to a friend, En Route is designed to move with you—one story, one postcard, one cultural moment at a time.
